What sets Smoked. American Barbecue apart from other local spots is its dedication to crafting the perfect barbecue, using top-quality meats and slow-smoking techniques. The flavors are bold and rich, with the right balance of smoky goodness and tenderness that’s hard to find elsewhere. Upon walking into Smoked, you're greeted with the delicious aroma of slow-cooked meats. The menu offers a variety of options, each meticulously prepared to bring out the best of American barbecue. The standout items include the smoked brisket, which practically melts in your mouth, and the ribs that are so tender they fall off the bone. For those looking for a complete meal, the sides-such as mac and cheese, cornbread, and baked beans-complement the main dishes perfectly.

The chefs at Smoked use a careful selection of woods to smoke the meats, which is key to achieving that distinctive, deep flavor. Whether it’s hickory, oak, or a mix of hardwoods, the smoky aroma that fills the air as the meat is cooked low and slow is the hallmark of their dedication to perfection. The restaurant’s slow-smoking process is a nod to traditional barbecue methods that have been passed down for generations, but with the attention to detail that makes Smoked stand out.

But it’s not just about the food. Smoked’s attention to detail extends to its customer service as well. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and happy to recommend their favorite dishes. If you're unsure of what to try, the pulled pork sandwich is a great starting point. It’s juicy, packed with flavor, and topped with a tangy sauce that balances the smoky meat perfectly. Plus, there’s the option to customize your meal, so you can mix and match different meats or sides to create the perfect plate.

For those who love a good barbecue sauce, Smoked offers a variety of house-made sauces to complement their dishes. From a sweet and tangy tomato-based sauce to a spicy mustard-based one, there’s something to suit every taste. The sauces are a great way to add another layer of flavor to the already incredible barbecue.

  • Outstanding, there’s not really much more to say! I was late to get to the airport and I wanted something good to eat while I was there so I picked up a brisket sandwich, some mac & cheese, and an extra potato salad and they were all delicious. The people working there were also very nice and helpful. Great experience and if I’m ever traveling through here again I will definitely stop by.

  • We were leaving a Harvest Host in Billings Montana, Mydland Angus Ranch, and the owner highly recommended this place on our way out to Glacier. THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT! A family business, friendly, patient, accommodating, happy and smiling, superb brisket and pastrami!!! Belly's were full upon departure but we STILL purchased more meats to take with us!

  • Super friendly service. Excellent BBQ. Tried the pulled pork which was great. Brisket was OK, slaw and Mac n cheese were both really good.

  • Stopped here while in town for work, and I'm glad I did. Got the brisket plate with the spicy pasta salad and pork belly Mac. It was all fantastic. 9.5/10 overall. Staff was very polite as well, even dealing with a large crowd. Would recommend.

  • SMOKED is an excellent little American BBQ restaurant. I tried the beef brisket on a bun w/small side of spicy coleslaw & added a side of the Mac & Cheese + potato salad (which was the best potato salad I’ve ever had) - No Joke. Everything was extremely homemade, tender, & very flavorful tasting and certainly did not have that big corporate BBQ restaurant taste and vibe. The place has a great aesthetic and energy to this small BBQ eatery. After you get your tray of food you you can stop at a counter near by to add pickles, pickles onions, & pickled jalepenos for your sandwich or other dishes. I did notice they had homemade looking banana & pumpkin cream pies available (personal size). At the table there is an assortment of BBQ sauces for your food. All in all the food was excellent and I would definitely go back when I visit Great Falls. Everything you could wish a place like this to be. SMOKED checked all the boxes for me as a small BBQ restaurant.

  • The 3 meat 3 sides combo was a great deal. Brisket, pulled pork and turkey were amazing. The sides were great. We so liked the KC sauce we bought some to take home.
